Introduction

Since 1989 Aqua Geocomposites have been supplying geomembrane separators and geotextiles to the railway, for installation in problem formations.

In conjunction with our sister company Aqua S & TS Ltd. who manufacture Permanent-Way drainage systems, we are able to offer the UK's first fully integrated drainage system for all rail applications.

Working with Network Rail

Since Network Rail's conception they have worked consistently in improving and standardising the quality of products accepted for use in Britain's railways. Aqua have welcomed this move to introduce standards in railway drainage and have worked closely with Network Rail in ensuring that all its products have the full support, approval and confidence of that body.

This inter company consultancy has enabled us to achieve full PADS 2000 recognition for all our products.

Water in railway formations can upset the balance of the Permanent Way. In accordance with Network Rail's document 'Formation Treatments RT/CE/S/039', we can offer a mechanical response with a range of geotechnical solutions producing positive engineering solutions.
